Trying to explain something by using an argument that could be theoretically used to explain anything.
General form:
"B because A." (where "C because A" has the same validity for any C)
Typical example:
"How is that guy able to fly with the power of thought?"
"There's nothing strange: Different people have different abilities; everyone has something they're particularly good at doing."
An explaination is acceptable only if it can unequivocally derive *that* specific thing one is trying to explain, and not another; if the same "explaination" could theoretically work just as well for anything one could possibly imagine, than it's not an explaination at all.
